Quilts can be dated by a number of factors. These factors, arranged in a time line, allow a quilt to be placed in a timeframe of most likely construction. Using PowerPoint, antique and reproduction quilts, and fabrics, these factors are presented. Those in attendance are encouraged to bring quilts for dating. Photography is permitted.

Julia D. Zgliniec
Quiltmaker, Instructor, Appraiser
Certified by the American Quilters Society
A lifelong love of art and handwork has led to a career as a professional quiltmaker, instructor, designer, and appraiser, certified by the American Quilter's Society. Although I was taught to sew by my grandmother at an early age, it was not until an adult education class in quiltmaking in 1982 that these loves came together.
