The International American
Society of Appraisers (ASA) is the oldest, non-profit professional
appraisal organization and the only one that is multi-disciplinary,
meeting the professional needs of appraisers of all types
of property. It
is dedicated to the education and certification of those
appraisers who meet the highest qualifications for appraisal
practice. |
| ASA is organized into Chapters
with regular educational meetings conveniently located in
urban regional centers. San Diego is Chapter #84, serving
the San Diego Region. |
| While attendance at meetings
is open to all with an interest in either a professional
appraisal career or in the types of property discussed at
meetings, membership is only available through ASA International. |

| The ASA San Diego
Chapter holds regular monthly meetings to provide our
member with educational programs that encompass both
good appraisal technique and mini-seminars on specific types
of property. Some of our recent programs covered
topics such as Commercial Development in The South Bay & Related
Appraisal Issues, Arts & Crafts Jewelry,
Appraisals in Bankruptcy Actions, Managing Your
Cases, Letters of Engagement
That Get You Paid, and The Art of Low-Income Housing. |

Chapter's mentor program assists those professionals
either new to the appraisal profession or those working
to complete designation experience and exams. |
